What the release notes say

Streaming terminal responses, organization Web Search control, unified connector settings, and steadier sessions

New features

  • Stream responses as they arrive - A new terminal setting renders Droid's replies and thinking progressively instead of waiting for each block to finish
  • Web Search control - Organization managers can now remove the Web Search tool so Droid cannot search the public web

Improvements

  • Payment during onboarding - Paid signup now collects card or bank payment details directly in the onboarding flow (app)
  • Composer mode descriptions - The composer mode menu now explains what each mode does (app)
  • Consistent panel animations - The file tree and right panel now open and close with the session sidebar's timing (app)
  • Model access exceptions - Managers can now block individual models while new ones stay available under Allow All
  • Unified connector settings - Connectors and integrations now share one settings table, with organization availability moved under Enterprise Controls (app)
  • Session Wiki navigation - The session Wiki action now opens the full Wiki page instead of an inline panel (app)

Bug fixes

  • Scrollbar and notification behavior - Interrupted scrollbar drags no longer clear text selection, and new notifications no longer inherit an earlier timer (app)
  • Bring your own key errors - Retry failures with your own model key can now show the provider's status code and message
  • Network error details - Network errors now name the host, protocol, and port that actually failed
  • Usage limit resets - The first message after your usage limit resets is no longer treated as over the limit
  • Session titles under model policy - Sessions in organizations that restrict models now get generated titles instead of failing
  • Expanded browser panel toolbar - The expanded browser toolbar now clears the macOS window controls and keeps its sidebar button (app)
  • Live command output - Running commands can now be expanded to watch their output before the result arrives (app)
  • Factory name on macOS - Desktop now shows the Factory name in macOS system UI instead of its executable name (app)
  • Computers stay active while typing - A cloud computer no longer pauses while you type in its session or reconnect to it (app)
  • Local MCP server sign-in - Desktop now completes MCP server sign-in on your own machine for local sessions (app)
  • Continued model discounts - A discounted model rate now continues when a shorter promotion on the same model expires
  • Fewer false secret warnings - Droid Shield no longer warns about public service identifiers that are safe to commit
