What the release notes say

Command palette rebuild, migrate command, mid-message skills, in-place compression, plus terminal and app fixes

New features

  • Migration files view - When a /migrate workflow is active, the files panel can show its plan and validation documents (app)
  • Delegation audit events - Audit logs now record who started a Droid session from a connected tool
  • Image generation model choice - You can now choose which model Droid uses when it generates an image
  • Expand attached images - You can now open an attached image at full size before you send it (app)
  • Skills anywhere in a message - You can now complete and highlight a skill anywhere in your message, not only at the start
  • Migrate workflow command - Run /migrate to take large work from an agreed plan to a verified outcome

Improvements

  • Slack post attribution - Slack messages Droid posts outside your conversation now name the person who asked
  • Command palette coverage - The command palette now reaches every page and setting, with category tabs and ranked results (app)
  • Mid-session plugin discovery - Entering a repository during a session now loads that project's plugins
  • In-place context compression - /compress now summarizes your current session, and /handoff starts a summary-only successor
  • Faster file suggestions - Mentioning a file now returns suggestions faster, including in very large repositories

Bug fixes

  • Custom model fallback - A session set to a custom model you no longer have now falls back to an available one
  • macOS sign-in reliability - Signing in now succeeds on macOS when the system keychain cannot be used
  • Newlines during startup - Text with newlines typed before Droid finishes starting now stays in your draft
  • App zoom persistence - Your zoom level now survives page changes, reloads, and new windows (app)
  • Slack file uploads - Files you upload in a Slack channel now reach Droid instead of being dropped
  • Connection list refresh - Disconnecting an integration now updates your connection lists right away (app)
  • Session resume memory use - Resuming a long session no longer runs out of memory while loading its history
  • Plan kept across compaction - Your open plan now survives context compaction instead of disappearing
  • Background task reports - A session now stays loaded until its background task work finishes, so reports arrive
  • Windows startup stalls - Droid no longer stalls at startup while it looks for PowerShell on Windows
  • Repository and template lists - Repository and computer template lists no longer fail to load for some organizations
  • Queued messages on disconnect - A queued message now stays put when another computer's connection drops
  • Shifted key combinations - Ctrl+Shift+C inside a terminal pane no longer interrupts your session
