Factory Droid v0.236.0

Released · Factory

Security fix

What the release notes say

Terminal activity status, Script permission requests, skills in delegated tasks, plus CLI and app fixes

New features

  • Terminal activity status - Terminals that support it now show whether Droid is working, waiting on you, or done

Improvements

  • Headers in managed settings - Organization-managed custom model settings can now carry request headers that hold no credentials
  • Faster session opening - Opening a session no longer waits on a load that never started (app)
  • Active tool call summaries - Tool summaries now read in present tense with counts while Droid is still working (app)
  • Resume by session link - Droid resume now accepts a session link in place of the session id

Bug fixes

  • Script permission requests - Script calls whose input is built at run time now ask for permission when they run
  • Custom Droid models - A custom Droid set to inherit now keeps the session's model and reasoning effort
  • Slash command menu flicker - The slash command menu no longer blinks a loading row or flashes the footer
  • Sessions that pull from origin - A first message that pulls from origin no longer leaves the session stuck on a slow fetch (app)
  • Disabled models in session defaults - Models your organization disabled now show as unavailable in session default settings (app)
  • Session search while typing - Session search now waits for a pause in your typing instead of piling up searches (app)
  • Wiki upload cleanup - A wiki upload that asks for cleanup now keeps your local files unless every target succeeded
  • Skills in delegated tasks - A task delegated with a leading skill command now starts instead of being refused
  • Startup errors in the terminal - Startup failures such as an unknown session id or a bad folder now print in the terminal
  • Search limit validation - Session search now rejects an invalid limit instead of silently using a different number
  • Exec input format validation - Droid exec now rejects an unknown input format and a message passed with streaming input
  • Status pane input - Opening the status pane no longer erases text you type right after it
  • Images on custom models - Sending an image to a model that cannot read images now explains how to fix it
  • Custom model credential timeouts - A credential command that times out now reports the timeout instead of waiting through another run
  • Resuming your own model sessions - Droid exec now resumes a session on your own model credentials without a Factory sign-in
  • Dropped file paths - A file path dropped into the composer is now sent as a message instead of an unknown command
