What the release notes say

VS Code

Minor Changes

  • #14797 ecb450b - Make multi-project Agent Manager available by default, with the current workspace project first, and remove the experimental toggle and old single-project view.

Keep restored tabs, background sessions, and branch defaults with their project, and restore the remaining project after removing the active project.

  • #14806 b85a1ab - Show one keyboard shortcut hint in the prompt that fits what you do now: how to add selected code to the chat, return to the prompt, stop a run, jump to a session that needs you, or review changes and the pull request in Agent Manager. Empty Agent Manager sessions list the main shortcuts, the mode picker shows its shortcut on hover, and all shortcut labels follow your custom keybindings. Turn hints off in Display settings.

  • #14836 760048d - Open the Integrated Browser in an editor tab for any session, not only Agent Manager. Run the Open Integrated Browser command, or let the browser_open tool reveal the tab automatically. Each session gets its own browser tab.

  • #14781 fffcf0e Thanks @eborjaa! - Choose a separate model for automatic project memory saves with the new memory_model setting in kilo.jsonc. When it is unset or unavailable, memory keeps using the session model.

  • #14632 fc3910b Thanks @brunoagatao! - Add an experimental "Per-Conversation Prompt History" setting that keeps prompt input history separate for each conversation

  • #14751 829f621 - Show the GitHub organization avatar next to each project in the Agent Manager project list, with a letter tile when the project has no GitHub remote.

  • #14813 8b144bb - Show to-do progress in the session dock above the prompt. A small progress chip shows how many items are done and the current item, next to the working indicator, background agents, and the goal. Click it to see the full list. The to-do bar under the session title is removed.

  • #14837 94c0514 - Add search to the Kilo Settings sidebar. A search field at the top of the left rail filters every setting, with results grouped by category in the panel so matching settings stay visible; select one to jump to its tab and setting. The field shows the shortcut as a keycap and focuses with Ctrl+F (Cmd+F on macOS).

  • #14855 2049b82 - Pin and unpin session tabs with Shift+click in the sidebar and Agent Manager. The tab context menu now shows the gesture next to Pin and Unpin.

  • #14724 72fa65f - Support OAuth sign-in for MCP servers: open authorization links through VS Code, prompt to sign in after installing an OAuth-protected server from the Marketplace, surface servers that need sign-in from the chat prompt with recovery actions, and configure a pre-registered OAuth client when a server requires one.

Patch Changes

  • #14853 b0820ac - Show the keyboard shortcut hints in an empty Agent Manager session with the same VS Code keycap style used in the prompt input, so the shortcut keys look consistent in both places.

  • #14721 b299b97 - Keep pre-warmed Agent Manager worktrees outside the project folder. .kilo/worktrees/ is now only created when you create a worktree, so build tools, test runners, and file watchers that scan the project no longer find an extra checkout. Pre-warmed worktrees left in .kilo/worktrees/ by earlier versions are removed automatically. Projects on a different drive than your home folder are no longer pre-warmed.

  • #14712 4c09359 - Run the Agent Manager worktree setup script for a new worktree even when the setup script of another worktree is still running in the VS Code terminal, and show an error when the setup task cannot start.

  • #14828 652cd51 - Make dragging, hovering, and scrolling in the Agent Manager integrated browser follow the pointer without a growing delay on high refresh rate displays.
