For developers

• Update before you debug “lost thinking” or 400s. Claude Code v2.1.282 is the evidence-backed fix for --continue/--resume rewriting turns, slash commands dropping extended thinking, and stored web-search history the API cannot decrypt. After upgrade, run claude doctor / /status and read which project telemetry vars were ignored or disabled.
• Re-pin models this week, don’t assume names. Cline desktop-v0.0.40 and cli-v3.0.67 both refresh defaults (302.AI → Claude Sonnet 5.5, NanoGPT → Ling 3.1 Flash, Vivgrid → GPT-6.1 Sol, Vultr → MiMo V2.6 Flash RL) and warn that Vultr IDs changed upstream. Zed v1.23.1-pre adds GPT-6.1 Sol BYOK only if you are on that prerelease. Goose v1.52.0 lists Opus 5.5 / GPT-6-sol / GPT-6-luna. Factory Droid v0.231.0 hides older models behind a legacy toggle.
• If custom providers “showed up but never ran,” upgrade Cline. Both desktop and CLI now execute Add Provider / providers.json entries that previously failed with Unknown or disabled provider. Saving credentials no longer depends on a successful model-list fetch.
• Treat MCP tool dumps as pageable, not lost. Cline (desktop + CLI) now returns a preview plus a link (CLI: read_files) when MCP output exceeds context. OpenCode v1.18.33 reports MCP browser launcher exits instead of failing silent. Claude Code’s Chrome + exclusive managed-mcp.json path needs allowClaudeInChromeWithManagedMcp.
• Expect new CLI surfaces, including ones that start on. Codex rust-v0.156.0: try /tui, /usage, /voice settings; voice is default on; worktrees are default on; use --no-daemon if the background server is in the way. rust-v0.160.0: enable Guardian only if you want handoff context re-injected; “Show more” in the agent command center; middle-click paste in fullscreen on local Linux X11. Tabnine v6.6.5: /tabnine-status without leaving the terminal.
• Cap agent idle memory in Zed only on the pre build. Set agent.max_idle_retained_threads if you keep many sleeping agent threads; do not treat v1.23.1-pre as stable.
• Open proposals to act on (highest first): Guardian + projectless workspace defaults (P5); Zed GPT-6.1 Sol BYOK + idle-thread cap (P4); Devin Desktop ChatGPT sign-in / Fusion GPT-6 Astra + SWE-2 (P3). Grok CLI prompt/MCP proposals are not backed by a release in this evidence JSON—don’t implement them from this brief alone.

For teams

• Policy and MCP paths are now first-class. Claude Code: decide whether Chrome is allowed beside exclusive managed-mcp.json; the block error now names that setting. Cline: lock CLINE_MCP_SETTINGS_PATH / CLINE_DATA_DIR / CLINE_DIR so OAuth, server lists, and “Open MCP settings” hit the same file. Goose v1.52.0 protects custom provider config files—stop sharing those as world-writable recipe sidecars.
• Defaults that change fleet behavior without a ticket. Codex voice conversations enabled by default; worktree sessions enabled by default; rust-v0.160.0 can start outside a project when policy allows and restores saved permissions on resume. Antigravity 1.2.13 will not keep retrying through a daily/billing cap or a retry-delay > 30s—rate-limit dashboards will look like hard stops, not slow backoff.
• Enforce recipe/size limits before Goose v1.52.0 lands in CI. Hard caps: 32 params, 200 select options, 128 KiB. Team proposal: shrink Goose recipes (P3). Duplicate schedules no longer overwrite recipes.
• Billing and tenancy. Windsurf v3.10.48 lets Devin Desktop attach eligible ChatGPT Plus/Pro usage—separate GPT spend from the rest of the workspace budget and document who is allowed to sign in that way. Factory Droid v0.231.0 hides service-account computer sessions from operators who aren’t on them (read-only if opened). Kiro v1.1.70 HTML notes enterprise profiles routing to a selected region—verify in your own admin UI before treating it as shipped everywhere.
• Telemetry and debug leakage. Claude Code now surfaces ignored/off telemetry vars at startup. OpenCode redacts credentials and sensitive headers in debug config output. Prefer those versioned behaviors over informal “don’t log secrets” guidance.
• Don’t roll Zed v1.23.1-pre or HTML-only Kiro/Tabnine notes as org standard until a non-pre GitHub tag repeats the same facts.

What to ignore

• Omitted changelog tails. Claude Code (+79), Codex 0.156 (+128) and 0.160 (+58), Zed (+46), Goose (+25), and several HTML notes all set bodyOmitted. Do not invent those bullets.
• Prerelease and mixed pages. Zed v1.23.1-pre is tagged prerelease. Kiro v1.1.70 recites IDE 1.0 highlights. Kiro Crew 0.7.2 is a patch URL whose body is mostly 0.7.0. Windsurf’s v3.10.48 page also narrates v3.10.35. Tabnine v6.6.5 embeds 6.6.3/6.6.2 and a plugin-version dump. Factory notes pair CLI versions with separate Desktop versions in the title.
• Docs/marketing as model launches. OpenCode’s contributor docs mention Claude Opus 5.5 / GPT 6 Sol / GPT 6 Luna on Zen; that is documentation in v1.18.33, not a model-provider release in this JSON. Windsurf’s “best value” Fusion pairing is vendor advice inside an HTML changelog.
• Low-confidence process noise. Trusted mix is 49%. One source in this window reported errors. The OpenCode “verification videos” proposal is P2 and is not a product signal.
