What the evidence shows
Versioned GitHub releases (preferred). Rows with bodyOmitted are incomplete — only the published bullets are used.
models.dev metadata with bundled fallback; quoting selected transcript into the composer; lean ACP-only binary; GDK model-discovery API and wasm32 agent loop; listed support for Opus 5.5, GPT-6-sol, GPT-6-luna; CLI session rename / working-dir on remove; Bedrock reports max_tokens truncation. 21 further changes omitted./plugin enable cc-plugin-you-should-know@builtin) for first-party sessions with telemetry on. MCP URL prompts (2025-11-25 protocol); if a server stops connecting, add "bareElicitationCapability": true. OTel user_prompt gains prompt_text (mask it wherever you mask prompt). Windows: denying Bash also disables PowerShell, with a startup warning. 73 further changes omitted.$.ui.selection(). MCP OAuth re-auth when a tool call needs more scope. /code-review --max-findings. Ctrl+C draft recovery. Compaction/resume: long chats that reported zero token usage now auto-compact instead of “Prompt is too long”; --resume no longer drops files a compaction just restored; mid-response timeouts continue from the partial reply in non-interactive / subagent runs. 76 further changes omitted.-p "/usage" prints quota resets in local time in a TTY; piped/--json stay UTC. Always-allow for repo is now subcommand-scoped. Denied permissions are respected — the agent no longer tries other commands/tools to work around a denial. Frozen conversation-view reconnects. 8 further changes omitted./config ←/→ cycles values immediately. Altscreen long-chat resize/interrupt no longer re-renders every prior step. go always-allow is subcommand-scoped; `go run~/.cline/data/db/teams.db could hit gigabytes. Existing team data is compacted on first open. Default models change for DigitalOcean, GMI Cloud, NanoGPT, Nvidia, Ofox.teams.db reached 1.66 GB / ~339k rewrites of a single run. Stream chunks are no longer persisted; schema v2 + one-time compact; team_events capped (2000 rows / 30 days). Same catalog default-model refresh as CLI.Changelog / HTML signals (noisier mix — overall GitHub/changelog vs HTML trust is 49%; treat these as directional until a GitHub tag confirms):
us-east-1 and eu-central-1: 1M context, adaptive thinking on, 1.3× credit multiplier. Restart/refresh to load the catalog. Duplicate unversioned model page says the same thing.Empty OpenAI Codex CLI tags rust-v0.162.0-alpha.8 and alpha.9 are prereleases with no changelog body in this evidence.
For developers
- Claude Code — Install v2.1.288 (not just 2.1.287). If MCP servers died after 2.1.287, add
"bareElicitationCapability": trueon that server entry. Re-test OAuth MCP servers (re-auth prompt is new). If you use/code-review, set--max-findingsexplicitly or you will inherit the last non-default. Do not enable You should know unless you accept first-party telemetry. On Windows, denying Bash now means no shell tool at all. - Codex CLI — Move daily use to rust-v0.160.0. Turn Guardian on only if you want earlier instructions + handoff context in reviews (see the open proposal). Re-check resume/fork history and provider catalogs after the stale-model fix. Skip the empty 0.162 alphas unless you are on the prerelease channel.
- Goose — v1.53.0 if you run MCP Apps (PiP) or need live
models.devmetadata. Confirm the new model IDs you actually have credentials for (Opus 5.5 / GPT-6-sol / GPT-6-luna / GPT-6.1-sol “none” reasoning). The ACP-only binary is a separate, leaner artifact — do not swap it in if you still need the full desktop/CLI surface. - Antigravity — 1.2.16 on top of 1.2.15. Re-approve
repoandgoalways-allow lists; they are narrower. Termux users can drop proot-distro. After a denial, expect the agent to stop, not route around you. - Cline — Upgrade desktop 0.0.41, CLI 3.0.68, and SDK 0.0.90 together if you use agent teams; open existing teams once to compact
teams.db. Re-select defaults if you are on DigitalOcean / GMI Cloud / NanoGPT / Nvidia / Ofox. Org accounts: ClinePass will not appear. - Copilot — Point chat, edits, agent, and completions off the four retired IDs today (2026-10-02).
- Kiro — If you still launch Classic, read the deprecation notice (it names the flag). Workflows are opt-in under
/settings→ Features, then restart. Sonnet 5.5 is experimental and regional; restart IDE/CLI orkirocrew restart. - Factory Droid — Prefer the 0.233.0 behavior: do not rely on silent trim of oversize prompts; expect retries on cut-off replies.
For teams
- Copilot Enterprise: enable Gemini 3.8 Flash, Kimi K3, and Claude Opus 5.5 in model policy before developers notice empty selectors. No action is required to remove the old IDs.
- Claude Code: treat Mods as a plugin-security change, not a UI tweak — plugins can alter deeper behavior. Mask OTel
prompt_texteverywhere you already maskprompt. Keep You should know off in orgs that disable telemetry or do not want a side-agent on the session. Self-hosted macOS/Linux runners withoutghnow get a built-in REST-onlygh api. - Cline: budget for a one-time team-DB compact; if
teams.dbalready ballooned, plan disk and first-open latency. Org billing: no ClinePass in the picker. Connector marketplace now distinguishes MCP servers vs connectors with the same name — update internal install docs. - Codex: decide whether Guardian reviews are allowed; they are opt-in and pull prior user text + handoff context. Projectless sessions follow workspace defaults when policy permits.
- Antigravity / Kiro: permission posture tightened (no denial workarounds; untrusted-workspace MCP/shell and Hook/LSP writes). Retrain “always allow” habits.
- Factory: org-managed settings are region-scoped; plugin marketplaces supplied by org/project are locked; service-account computer sessions are hidden/read-only for bystanders.
- Kiro cost: Opus 5.5 at 2.0× credits; Sonnet 5.5 at 1.3× with a 1M window — set defaults before the experimental catalog lands on every IDE.
What to ignore
- Codex
0.162.0-alpha.8/9— tags only, no listed changes. - Omitted bodies — do not invent the +58 / +73 / +76 / +21 / +8 / +9 / +6 / +21 bullets.
- Duplicate Kiro Sonnet 5.5 pages (2.27.0 vs the unversioned model article) — same claim, HTML only.
- Factory’s three-day docs drip as if it were a single GitHub release; useful, but lower confidence than the Codex/Goose/Claude/Cline/Antigravity tags.
- Related Copilot blog cards in the same post (code review API, computer use) — not the deprecation evidence, and further lines were omitted.
- Open proposals (Guardian, Zed GPT-6.1 Sol BYOK, Devin/Windsurf Fusion, Grok CLI harness, OpenCode PR videos) — they are suggested follow-ups, not shipped facts.
- One tracked source reported errors; combined with a 49% GitHub/changelog mix, do not let HTML marketing copy override a versioned tag.
Watch next
- A Codex 0.162 stable notes file (alphas are empty today).
- Whether Claude Mods and You should know stay telemetry-gated, and what third-party mods actually change.
- Goose live
models.devfetch vs bundled fallback when the network is wrong. - Cline default-model churn (GPT-6.1 Sol, Qwen 3.8 Flash, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, Pareto 26.10 Preview) sticking in the next catalog refresh.
- Copilot admin fallout after the Oct 2 cut, and whether Kiro Sonnet 5.5 leaves “experimental” / those two regions.
- Open proposals: Codex Guardian + projectless defaults, Zed GPT-6.1 Sol BYOK, Devin Desktop / Fusion, plus the Grok CLI and OpenCode video PRs.
How to use DevAgentRadar
This brief is a public evidence radar, not a vendor roundup. Read Headline and What the evidence shows first; act from For developers / For teams; skip What to ignore. isNew means the signal hit the radar in the last 36 hours. Rank is a hint — cite the release URL, not the score. Prefer GitHub/changelog versions over blogs. If a row says body omitted, that is all we know. Open proposals are optional patches, not product news. Re-check this page after the next 36-hour window rather than chasing every prerelease tag.
