What the evidence shows

Today’s signal is CLI and agent-harness maintenance, not a model-launch day. GitHub tags are the cleanest records (Antigravity, Copilot CLI, Zed, Kilo, Augment). Antigravity 1.3.4: Upgrade if you script plugins or switch models from the CLI. Use agy plugin list --json. Pass a base model name without --effort and expect the server default. If Remote Control was a dead settings page, it now round-trips settings.json. Failed-model stalls should cap at 30 seconds.
Copilot CLI v1.0.96: Upgrade for sandbox secret/host masking, /add-dir for this session only, and case-insensitive model IDs. Read the permission timeline when a command was allowed by policy vs you. If custom agents vanish in large/nested repos, v1.0.97-2 is the targeted prerelease — not a general upgrade.

This week’s still-hot CLIs: Vibe 2.26.1 if you want the Rust terminal and explicit subagent/background kill-switches; Goose 1.53.0 if you care about MCP app windows and listed new model IDs — pin them, because the tag also says it fetches models.dev live.

For teams

Copilot identity telemetry is off by default. telemetry.capture.identity attributes GitHub login, OS user, and hostname without turning on prompt/response/tool capture. Managed settings beat local, SDK, and env. Do not enable identity or the five content classes until legal/security sign off. Copilot CLI’s /allow-all remaining available while enterprise policy is still resolving is a window to document, not ignore.
Kiro V3 is a rollout, not yet the default. 2.30.0 invites people to switch configs and auto-upgrade agents before CLI 3.0 at the end of October. Budget a pass over custom agents; the notes say more V2 access is kept, not that nothing changes. GovCloud teams can pick Opus 5.5 after a coordinated IDE/CLI bump.
Factory org defaults are weaker than last-used composer settings in the app (mode and autonomy). Pair that with Extra Usage one-click and the stricter telemetry opt-out. The editor MCP localhost restriction is the security-relevant change; confirm desktop MCP is not reachable from a browser.
Antigravity Business / GCP pay-as-you-go: third-party models the project cannot access are hidden instead of failing at send time — update allow-lists and docs so people do not think a model was removed from the product.
