Why it matters

Windsurf v3.7.25 (13 Aug 2026) changes two Devin surfaces that currently stall work. Devin Desktop’s sidebar ran filtering, space grouping, and sorting over the full cached session set, so people with thousands of cached sessions hit multi-second lag after “Reload Window” and while scrolling. Those operations now process only the sessions actually fetched for display. Devin Local also failed authentication against certain MCP servers, including self-hosted GitLab and older Atlassian MCP instances; this build restores that auth. Anyone keeping a large session cache or pointing Devin Local at private GitLab/Atlassian MCP needs 3.7.25 installed and those MCP logins completed again so the sidebar stays interactive and tool calls stop failing.

Suggested actions

1. Quit all Windsurf/Devin Desktop windows, install v3.7.25 via the Download 3.7.25 control at https://windsurf.com/changelog#v3-7-25, relaunch, and confirm Help/About (or the equivalent version string) reports exactly v3.7.25 before doing any MCP or sidebar checks.

2. In Devin Local MCP settings, re-authenticate every self-hosted GitLab MCP server and every older Atlassian MCP instance: complete the full login/token flow until each server shows connected, and replace any pre-3.7.25 credentials that still error.

3. On a profile with a large cached-session set, run “Reload Window”, then use sidebar filter, space grouping, and sort while scrolling. Confirm those operations only process sessions fetched for display and that the multi-second post-reload and scroll lag is gone.

4. From Devin Local, call one tool on the self-hosted GitLab MCP server and one tool on the older Atlassian MCP instance. If auth still fails, reconnect that server inside v3.7.25 and retry; do not keep using an older Windsurf build for those endpoints.

5. List every Devin Local MCP URL this machine uses, flag self-hosted GitLab hosts and non-current Atlassian MCP instances, and apply the v3.7.25 re-auth steps to each flagged endpoint until all of them connect.
